The Taylor Tote (Your Way) Weekend Workshop with Lauren Mormino & Rea Koren - August 9 & 10 2025

CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Are you ready to make a tote bag tailored just for you? Then let's make The Taylor Tote – YOUR way! Included in the price of the class is the Taylor Tote pattern from More Me Know. The Taylor Tote is already super versatile, but we want you to put your own creative spin on it! As part of your ticket, you will have access to an exclusive Facebook group where Lauren and Rea will go live to help you plan your bag and give guidance on cutting so that it is just the way you want it! Lauren and Rea are creative and skilled bag engineers ready to assist in resizing, adding pockets, changing handles, etc!
You will be required to bring your bag cut and ready to sew.
Having two instructors means class time should go really smoothly! If you have any questions we are ready to help and excited to see you!
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Some basic sewing knowledge is REQUIRED. I will not be here to teach you to completely sew but I will be there to go over industrial machine basics, etc.
You do NOT need to know how to use an industrial for this workshop. We will be here to help!
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
You will be required to bring your materials cut and ready to sew (or as much as possible).
Hardware, fabric, vinyl is not included in the cost of the class. We will have interfacings available for use should you need any but we ask you to bring any of your preferred stabilizers etc.
WHAT WE OFFER WITHIN THE CLASSROOM:
We provide the machines, a wide variety of thread choices, needles, clips, rulers, thread snips, lighters, screw drivers, glue, duct tape, DST, hole punches, rivet presses, ironing station, heat press station.
We plan to provide a catered lunch on both days of the class. If you have dietary needs please let us know in the notes of your ticket or in an email. We want to ensure that you are as comfortable as possible within our space.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
We have secured a room block with Townplace Suites in O'Fallon.
The price of the ticket does not include any travel, airfare or rides to and from said locations. These are your responsibility.

OUR GOAL:
Our goal is to provide a stress-free class space to learn bagmaking. We do not want any students to feel rushed or like they weren't able to get their questions answered.
