Sew Whatever Studio - 155 Lincoln Place Court Belleville IL 62221

July 27-28 2024

10 AM - 4 PM (Building will be closing for the last participant by 5 PM)

  • I'm the owner and creator of Knotted Threads Co.. I've been sewing bags full time since early 2019 and making patterns since early 2021. I'm a meticulous sewist who loves all the details in bagmaking and I try to emphasize that in my bags, content creation, and patterns!
  • We will be making my Rowena pattern, due to be released in April of 2024! This will be a cut and sew class so students will need to bring all the materials needed, aside from interfacing/stabilizers. I will work with Lauren and get the stabilizers delivered prior to the class.
  • The Pattern is included in the ticket cost as well as a goody bag curated by Shannon herself! (Pattern will be sent around April-May)

  • This class is aimed toward intermediate bag sewists. Experience with an industrial machine is not required, but experience sewing bags is!

Please bring your preferred sewing notions & tools. Have a favorite pair of scissors or rotary cutter? Please bring it!  Fabric, vinyl, hardware, etc will be NOT be provided for this class. The interfacing will be.

We provide the machines, a wide variety of thread choices, needles, clips, rulers, thread snips, lighters, screw drivers, glue, duct tape, DST, hole punches, rivet presses, ironing station, heat press station.

We plan to provide a catered lunch on both days of the class. If you have dietary needs please let us know in the notes of your ticket or in an email. We want to ensure that you are as comfortable as possible within our space.

We have secured a room block with a rate of $114 a night from Friday-Monday.

*Please note that there are only King beds available.

The price of the ticket does not include any travel, airfare or rides to and from said locations. These are your responsibility.

If you have any questions at all before purchasing your ticket please let us know!

Our goal is to provide a stress-free class space to learn bagmaking. We do not want any students to feel rushed or like they weren't able to get their questions answered. We have worked tirelessly to make sure this is a safe and welcoming space to all who enter. <3 We thank you for your trust and support and cannot wait to see you there!
