ABOUT THE CLASS:
In this class, we will be making the Hugo Handbag by Carbon Chic. Ashley Florack will be going over how to attach piping using a piping foot. The bag is finished with binding and she will show you step by step how to do it!
You will choose from the Steam Boat Mouse, the Highland Cow, the Hippo, or the Moth appliqué option for the exterior. The Pre-cut kit will provide the Appliqué Placement tool, all appliqué pieces, exterior, straps, and a coupon for your hardware, zipper tape and lining. You will be able to add any interior pockets you would like.
The pattern for this class is provided but will not be printed for you. If you need a printed copy please let us know.
On Day 1, you will be cutting the lining and interfacing your bag. You will shop the MMK Warehouse for your hardware and begin sewing!
On Day 2, you will continue sewing and finishing your bag.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
You do not need any industrial experience to come to our classes. We will be there to go over the ins and outs of using the machines!
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
There are no materials you are required to bring for this class.
WHAT WE OFFER WITHIN THE CLASSROOM:
We provide the machines, a wide variety of thread choices, needles, clips, rulers, thread snips, lighters, screw drivers, glue, duct tape, DST, hole punches, rivet presses, ironing station, heat press station.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
The price of the ticket does not include any travel, airfare or rides to and from said locations. These are your responsibility.

Our goal is to provide a stress-free class space to learn bagmaking. We do not want any students to feel rushed or like they weren't able to get their questions answered. CANCELLATION POLICY:
We understand that plans can change! If you need to cancel, we recommend first trying to sell your ticket. If there’s a waitlist, we’re happy to connect you with someone interested—but please note that we cannot facilitate or guarantee any transactions. Alternatively, you may return your ticket for a refund minus a 15% processing fee.
In the event that a class is canceled, the instructor will determine whether it will be rescheduled or refunded. You’ll be notified via email, and updates will also be posted in the class Facebook group.
